But just a minute ago, she came to me with a cutout of an indian canoe she had colored.
"Nice Mary. Who rides in a canoe?"
"You don't ride in a canoe" she says, "you fly in it."
"Who flies in a canoe?" I asked. "Just some kids."
As I tried to tell her that canoes are a kind of boat, she runs to the book cabinet and fishes out a Sesame Street seek-and-find book.
"What is that for?"
"To show you that canoes fly."
I stand corrected.
Amazing what you learn in preschool :)
